On July 28th, 2011, Big Brother 13 host Julie Chen teased viewers that they would have a chance to seriously impact the game. It has since been learned that, as in seasons 3, 6, and 9, an evicted houseguest will be given the opportunity to re-enter the game. As usual, it’s America’s choice who will be given this potential second chance; however, unlike in the previous seasons, the “winner of the poll will have to battle the next evicted houseguest” (CBS Web site leak, August 3, 2011).
An August 3rd malfunction on the CBS Web site first revealed the twist, offering fans the option of voting back in Keith Henderson, Cassi Colvin, Dominic Briones, or Jordan Lloyd; the latter is either another error on the webmasters’ part, or an early prediction that Lloyd will be evicted over Brendon Villegas in the August 4th episode.
Which Houseguests Are Eligible to Return to Big Brother?
Keith Henderson, the 32 year-old human resource manager from Bolingbrook, Illinois, was evicted when his strategy of trying to form a “Keith’s Angel’s alliance” with the women blew up in his face, and his partner Porsche Briggs formed an alliance with the Veterans. In order to protect Porsche and award her the Golden Key, the Veterans evicted Keith. It’s unknown exactly how Keith returning would impact the game as he left the house before the present rivalries formed.
Cassi Colvin, the 26 year-old model from Nashville, Tennessee was evicted after returning houseguest Rachel Reilly took a dislike to her and campaigned to have her nominated and evicted. If she returned to the house, Colvin would likely reunite with former partner Shelly Moore (whom she refused to campaign against when they were nominated for eviction together), as well as unite with other houseguests to get Rachel out of the house.
Dominic Briones, the 25 year-old college student/model from San Mateo, California, was evicted after it was discovered that his greatest ally, Daniele Donato, was forming a counter-alliance against returning houseguests Brendon Villegas, Rachel Reilly, Jordan Lloyd, and Jeff Schroeder—specifically to backdoor Schroeder. Briones’ pre-eviction speech also did him no favors as he called his housemates “spineless jellyfish,” told them they sucked at playing the game and challenged them to keep him in the house and increase the level of gameplay so that they would be on the same level as him. If he returns to the house, Briones will be able to reunite with Daniele and fellow houseguest Kalia Booker in order to seek revenge against Rachel.
One of Brendon Villegas or Jordan Lloyd will also be eligible to return to the Big Brother house, depending on who is evicted in the August 4th episode of the show.
Which Houseguest will not be Returning to Big Brother?
Dick Donato, who left the game unexpectedly due to an undisclosed personal emergency, is not eligible to return since he did not go into sequester and has been privy to the goings-on in the Big Brother house since his departure.
Which Houseguest will be Voted Back in?
An informal poll conducted by Big Brother Leak suggests that Cassi would be voted back into the game (Big Brother Leak’s Facebook page, August 3, 2011). She has nearly half the votes, while Dominic is in second place with 35% of the vote. Assuming he is evicted on August 4th, Brendon has 17% of the vote, while Keith is in last place.
According to the instructions leaked on the CBS Big Brother Web site, the results of the official CBS poll will be revealed on Thursday, August 11th. It is expected that Chen will provide instructions to viewers after the August 4th episode.
